The Zildjian FX El Sonido 17-Inch Multi Crash Ride is built to do what most cymbals cannot: crash, ride, and deliver a clear bell tone from a single instrument on a single stand. Developed with Marc Quinones of the Allman Brothers Band, it was designed over a year to perform equally in his Latin jazz group and in a full rock setting without asking the player to compromise.

The outer section is thin enough to crash fast and stop ringing quickly, so it does not bleed into the next beat. The heavier center carries volume across a loud band when you use it as a ride - it does not get buried the way a thin cymbal would. The bell at the top gives a sharp, clear ping for marking time in ride patterns. Zildjian's brilliant finish brightens all three sounds and gives the cymbal its distinctive shine.
