Beautiful but needs fretwork done

This is a beautiful Kala tenor uke, mahogany with gloss finish. Nice detail work and nice tuning heads. However, I am disappointed that there is a lot of buzzing when playing. It looks like I need to have the frets worked on to take down the high frets causing the buzzing. Too bad there was so little quality control in the production of the instrument.

My last uke was a Cordoba concert that a luthier had actually checked and worked on at the time of purchase. It has no buzzing and the sound is actually better than the Kala.

I would suggest that purchasers ensure that a luthier has actually checked the instrument (especially the frets) prior to purchase to avoid such disappointment and additional expense.

Very pleased!

I am very glad that I purchased this ukulele! I have played it every day since I received it and it has since been great. It has a beautiful sound, quality strings, holds its tune, and is overall a great instrument.
