PX-870

Having spent some time with it, I will comment. Note that I am becoming a piano bigot, having been spoiled by 2 minutes at the only known working Germain grand. Bought this for practice; the only other instrument I have is a "bright" Astin-Weight, while I wait for re-birth of my 1936 Steinway Model S.

Furniture: Sort of cheap but not bad.
Assembly: No big deal.
Portability: 2, not 1 people! I did manage to push it up the stairs and get it together by myself, but this is not recommended.
Configuration: Have been stuck trying to use a lower-end Casio with loose switch for a damper. No way that is acceptable. This is much better.
Voices: Interesting to play with.
Recording: #1 Book not accurate you have to tinker to learn how to record to USB. #2 Volume on computer file too cotton picking low must go use Audacity to crank it up as far as you can without distortion.
Action: Ha! PX-870 does not pretend to have a real action you have to spend more for that, much more. It is a bit heavy and not really possible to use to get expression needed. Perfectly fine if you just wanna hit the most notes and be loud. And plenty good if you are just trying to train fingers to hit where you want.

Bottom line: Don't like it but consider it to be quite a deal for the price and it is useful. Dealing with Austin Bazaar was just great too.

Casio Privia PX-870 Digital Piano

Casio Privia PX-870 has all the functionality of Casio's flagship PX-160 but comes with a built-in stand and pedal unit. It's designed to look nice in your living room or home. It offers plenty of advanced functionality, more than Casio's similarly designed but less expensive PX-770 digital piano. This particular bundle includes a furniture-style bench along with some instructional materials. If you're looking to invest in a digital piano with advanced features as well as a furniture-style design, this PX-870 digital piano bundle is the full package. Casio PX-160 is more affordable and compact but offers less functionality and lacks the furniture-style design of the PX-870. Comparable models would be the Yamaha Arius series of pianos, or the Yamaha DGX-660, though those tend to be more expensive and larger in size.
