SWIVEL JOINT MECHANISM: To simplify the positioning of the instrument microphone, Austrian Audio's engineers have developed a suspension of the microphone basket that allows a 220degrees rotation in the field. This allows the microphone to be precisely aligned to the sound source or according to personal sound preferences without having to awkwardly adjust or loosen the microphone stand.
OPEN ACOUSTICS TECHNOLOGY: Following the principle of free-field optimisation, both the microphone basket and the suspension of the capsule are designed to avoid acoustic interference. With the Open Acoustics approach, sources from behind can also pass through to the capsule, thus achieving an extremely precise cardioid characteristic.
LINEAR CARDOID POLAR PATTERN: captures sound not only from the front, but also from the rear or side, perfectly and undistorted. This ensures that even the, sometimes unavoidable, crosstalk from other instruments sounds good. The OC7 delivers Austrian Audio's open and transparent OC sound.
HIGH PASS FILTER: A -10dB pad, which results in lower sensitivity by reducing the capsule voltage, allows it to be used in front of the loudest sound sources. With an outstanding max SPL of XYZ dB, the OC7 is extremely resistant to overload.

Handmade in Vienna, Austria, each OC7 undergoes rigorous quality control before it is shipped. The heart of the new microphone is the OCC7 small diaphragm capsule, also handmade in Vienna. In-house development and manufacturing results in perfect tuning for the respective recording application.
