This is my 1st guitar so I don't really have anything to compare it to. But after a lot of research, I settled on the FG800. The quality and finish are great - no visible defects. I got it in the BLACK tint that can only be found here at Austin Bazaar. My girls picked the black for me out of like five different tints from different dealers. I also liked that it was a great deal with the bundled hard case, etc. It shipped "in" the case so the added protection during shipping was nice.
