The MSB1 is a short scale, small body acoustic bass guitar with superb tone and projection, thanks to its solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides. A passive pickup is mounted internally in Alvarezs patented Direct-Coupled bridge technology thats designed to ensure maximum transfer of string energy to the pickup and solid Engelmann spruce top, which is accented by a delicate Abalone rosette. The characteristics of the beautiful wood produce a warm tone with tremendous sustain, clarity, and lots of dynamic range. Coupled with the solid mahogany sides and back, the MSB1 produces exceptional projection with strong but balanced bass and highs.
