This beautiful Cecilio brand 12" Viola is ideal for young students! The Viola is a string instrument played with a bow and serves as the middle voice of the Violin family. The Viola's timbre sets it apart: its rich sonority is more full-bodied than the Violin's, dark-toned and earthy.
This Cecilio Viola features hand carved solid spruce top, maple back, and sides. It has a beautiful inlaid purfling and satin finish and flamed back and sides. This Viola features natural color rosewood pegs, fingerboard, chin rest, and tailpiece. The rosewood tailpiece features 4 nickel plated fine tuners.
This Cecilio Viola set features everything you need to get started with your new Viola. This outfit includes a Brazilwood bow with rosewood frog and unbleached genuine Mongolain horsehair, a lightweight form-fitting hard case with pockets and carrying straps, extra set of Viola strings, and a rosin cake.
